Welcome to The Music Studio of Lee Lanier. Located in Huntersville, North Carolina, my studio offers comprehensive music education rooted in patience, structure, and joy.

My lessons are designed for any student who is independently reading—welcoming all ages and all skill levels. Whether you are seeking a strong foundation in piano, want to learn guitar chords for worship leading, or need rigorous vocal or piano coaching for the NFMC Festival, my curriculum is tailored to fit your goals.

Every student receives integrated music theory to ensure they don't just learn to play music, but truly understand it.

Community & Performance

Music is meant to be shared. Students are invited to participate in a variety of optional community events throughout the year, including a nursing home performance, a Christmas concert at the mall, voice and guitar recitals, and our grand spring end-of-year recital.

* All performances are by invitation and entirely optional.

Base rate includes one primary instrument (Piano, Voice, or Guitar) plus comprehensive music theory.

30 Minutes

Weekly Lesson

$115 / month

Perfect for younger students or beginners establishing their foundation in note-reading, rhythm, and basic theory.

45 Minutes

Weekly Lesson

$170 / month

Ideal for intermediate students needing extra time to balance repertoire practice with advanced theory concepts.

60 Minutes

Weekly Lesson

$225 / month

Designed for advanced students, adults, or those preparing for the NFMC Festival and rigorous competitions.

Multi-Instrument Add-On

Add a second instrument (Piano, Voice, or Guitar) to your existing lesson time for an additional $10 per month.

* Note: Add-ons do not increase total lesson duration or the number of lessons per month.

Meet Your Instructor

Lee Lanier

For 36 years, I have had the privilege of privately teaching music to all ages and levels. As a mother who homeschooled my own three children, and a teacher in private schools, I deeply understand how to nurture and structure a child's education.

My background is deeply rooted in service and performance. I have served as a missionary, a church worship leader and pianist, and have directed numerous children’s dramas.

Within the professional music community, I have proudly served on the board of the CPTF, as chairperson for the NFMC Charlotte Festival, and as President of the Charlotte Music Club. I also graduated with a degree in music from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
